Granny Town

Well, I’m on a train and I’m headed down to granny town. The day has come. It’s official!! I am going to be a grandmother. To be honest, I don’t think it’s quite kicked in yet for me. Maybe it takes time? I don’t know I haven’t been a grandmother before.

All my family or friends all say the same thing.

Once your grandchild is born, there’s nothing like it in the world. They say it changes you. It puts you in a whole new world. Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see then.

I love babies! I think they are fun to have around–for a time. Lol. When I was raising my own children, I maintained a very disciplined regiment with them. And I look at them today and think, “well, I must have done something right?” They are very respectful people. And they contribute to the greater good in small and large ways. That makes me happy and proud to watch them live and hear about their lives. So, I’m sure when they each settle down with that one person who makes their world go ‘woo’ then it should be fine.

Today, my son (youngest, go figure!) showed me the ultrasound picture they took at their appointment. I gasped. A little peanut forming, adorable. Nine weeks. Of course, we found out weeks ago but today was the first photo we’ve seen that really made it official.

Maybe I’ll start my own granny blog to commemorate the experience. You never know what I’ll do. Even I don’t know what I will do because I like to live my life day to day, moment to moment. So we’ll see.

For now, I’ll cherish my first photo of my little peanut.
